Produce during Pandemic

Our friends, as we are spread all over the World we could only communicate through social media during this pandemic. Recently, we are trying Urban Agriculture as everyone realizes it is important to grow your own produce whatever you can in the place that is available to you. Greens, vegetables and fruits can be even grown in pots which can be very useful. It is also Organic, as we will never use artificial chemicals to grow our own produce. Anywhere in the World, in your home, you can put some soil in a pot or even in a sack and grow your own produce (at least some spinach and herbs). With some rice it can make a good tasty combination food too. So, on that lines, I want to share some ( Produce during Pandemic )  photos that I received from all over the Globe from few of my friends through social media.

If a friend can grow this inside a  town home at a cold climate area, then no one with a farm or space should not give any excuse to grow plants and trees.

Never expected even in unthinkable places my dear friends could grow these Produce. 

In the urban setup, one can have bee boxes. They help the plants and also produce honey.

A small plant planted today can become a forest one day.

Really glad that youngsters from
Pollachi area are involved in planting trees and maintaining them - Dr. Kalam's dream coming true.

At EA FARMS trees are planted one by one and as many as we can. 

 What we planted few years ago are growing. One day it will become a forest.

And we will get good rainfall and water can be conserved.

These produce during pandemic is from few friends. Think if all people produce at least some part of their food, it will be great.

Seeing all these should motivate anyone to atleast grow some herbs in your house. When you grow and consume it,, it will taste better for sure. A friends poem about trees:

Communication Tools Positives

Communication tools have become so important during lock down.
Messages reach at faster rate now than any other time from the past. These tools could be used for spreading negative news, but at the same time the tools could be used for faster communication and executing fruitful projects also. These tools should be positively used to immediately eradicate two evils from the face of  Mother Earth -

Poverty and Racism. 

One cannot believe that these exists even in 21st century and even after wonderful leaders sacrificed their precious lives for eradicating these evils.

Have written the following articles 5 years before on eradicating poverty and racism.

But even now real change did not happen, These evils still persists in Mother Earth.

Along with this animal cruelty has also increased. As an avid elephant well wisher it is hard to believe that a pregnant elephant was given a pineapple with explosives in it, 

As much cruelty is seen in that incident more heartbreak comes when a human kneels on another human's neck and choke fellow human to death even when he was screaming for his breath. Where did humane characteristics go?

We cannot change the past. But moving forward changes could be made.

Using communication tools spread, educate and guide future generations to get rid of these two evils from the face of
Earth. Then we can proudly say we are in the 21st century, 
until then whatever progress we make as humans it is still at zero point.

It should start from every individual especially the children (future generations)  and spread the love and equality to the co-inhabitants of mother Earth.

Education is the key tool to eradicate both poverty and racism. 

Using communication tools such as whatsapp and google blogspot we implemented several useful projects with ease. 

In a school whatsapp group, a classmate who is a doctor requested to supply 20 beds to a childcare ward. Our group had a schoolmate who is manufacturing eco-friendly mattress and immediately we all pitched in for required amount of beds. Those beds were supplied within couple of days. This project was completed with such efficiency and on time, because of these communication tools.

These type of activities eradicate poverty and racism was never involved in any step of this wonderful activity.

In a college whatsapp group, we joined hands and selected a small village and to better it through education, we collected funds and disturbed it for current young college students to use towards their education. It motivated those young future generations to do good when they shine. This is how societies are built.

In social whatsapp group we joined hands to clean up main water body of the town. It was used as garbage disposal area that included broken alcohol bottles. After several weeks of communication, team work, hard work the pond became so clean and usable. 

This is how you build clean societies. When young people are guided properly they take up a notch further than what we expect.
We have to positively believe in them and guide them properly and I am sure we are almost there to eradicate these evils.

In another social whatsapp group we communicate, contribute and help a great soul who is serving food for underprivileged poor orphaned old age people daily for the past several years. 

His family does the hard work, cook great food and distribute to these old people who survive only by themselves. We salute him for doing this for 365 days of the year, rain or shine. 

This type of activities eradicate poverty and racism was never involved in any step of this wonderful activity.

Now we are planning to join hands of these people involved in all the projects to plant and grow trees as much as we can.
I am sure when we join hands we will be able to execute the project successfully with these communication tools. Dr. Kalam and Dr. Nammalvar had dreamt of such environment and great society where we live harmoniously with our co-inhabitants. The trees mentioned by Dr. Nammalvar Ayya - such as neem, mango, papaya, curry leaves, amla, coconut, lemon, bananas, jackfruit and cattle feed trees to support cattle growth will eradicate poverty and provide valuable nutritional requirement for any person. When poverty is eradicated  other evils also will automatically vanish.

A small tree planted today on this World Environment Day may be the key to become a forest in the future.

Dear sisters and brothers, eradicate greed and use these communication tools wisely and let us grow as a wonderful human society that takes care of other Earth's inhabitants also, such as trees and animals.

We also communicated through another whatsapp group and gave webinars that contributed towards enriching the faculty members who are really key to instill VALUES into the young minds during the lock down. Thorough our website we have trained many people in IT field especially in databases with easy steps.
It is also free and anyone with desire to learn databases from anywhere can try educating themselves following these simple steps and can enhance their values in IT field. 

Relentlessly we will contribute by sharing our knowledge, bettering the environment and  our societies, communities  for the future generations. That way these two words - Poverty and Racism will be words of past history.

Together let us wipe out poverty, racism and injustice to other species from the face of our beloved Mother Earth. Let us take this resolution, pledge on this precious World Environment Day.

EARTH DAY2020Message

Health is Wealth - is the important message on this 50th EARTH Day - April 22nd, 2020.


I have been writing this blog more than 10 years now with various Environmental articles. The key to live sustainably is to eradicate greed. Living sustainably without polluting will improve Air, Water and Land (where our food is grown) and will provide good quality of healthy life. When we live in polluted environment, we pay a price that is very severe and it damages a very important aspect of health - our great Immune System. When pathogens attack already pollution damaged bodies, it is really hard for weakened immune system and our bodies give up the fight. But if we breathe unpolluted air, drink uncontaminated water and eat artificial chemical free food, our immune system builds up automatically and are ready to fight the Pathogens and even more with help from great medical practitioners. 

It is very important to follow very good life essentials to live a quality healthy life. These aspects should be followed from very young age and in the long run it will surely help. Also never put any harmful chemical in your fragile body such as alcohol, smoke or any controlled drug substances. Along with these essentials, simple exercising such as walking, chewing and eating proper quantity of quality food, laughing and practicing relaxing meditation will increase your body's fighting capacity against dreadful pathogens.

Similarly you can practice sustainable living methods, growing plants and trees, practicing healthy living methods, mimicking nature and following environmental friendly methods. Take these steps and together we can live quality healthy life along with our co-inhabitants in this great EARTH.

Earth has taught us a hard lesson to learn after being stretched to it's full potential against its pollution capacity and now it is recovering. Please learn from this and eradicate greed, live sustainably -  please take this pledge from this Earth day..

Race against Zoonotics - PRAY

Emerging Infectious Diseases - (Human) Race Against Zoonoses - 

As we are at uncertain times fighting against an unseen enemy (Zoonotic Virus),
it is wise to stay away from it and strengthen your immune system. I am confident that human team (with the help from almighty above) will work together to eradicate this threat, for sure.

Common People and vulnerable people have to stay safe and follow the cleaning protocols that are advised by experts.

These coming weeks are really critical every where in the World to avert large number of deaths. As we confine, the scientific team, medical team will find out a solution for this pandemic - article in FDA.

Biological process take some time to get data and that is why we have to wait, watch and experience this hell.

Already data must have been collected from the patients and studied extensively.
Meanwhile virologists already must have analyzed every part of the virus particularly the spike proteins and mode of attachment to the cells. All data will be analyzed with current level of computing, target based drugs, old drugs, data from previous versions of virus, current data of novel virus and its stability and we should as one united human race be confident that a solution will be soon available. I am constantly talking and encouraging my friends who are in medical, pharmaceutical and scientific field to work hard and find a solution soon, They are putting more than 100% in getting this done pretty soon.

Until then, we have to take severe precautions as common humans.

Again this has shown us how human life is fragile, how we can survive living sustainably and what we should follow in the future as humans. Humans who handle and mingle with the Zoonotic virus animals should be very careful in the future and those markets should be avoided at any cost. Just think what have you caused all over the World. Poor people are affected so much not because of their own fault. Loved ones are gone. Life has turned upside down for  so many people. As humans we thought we were in top of the food chain and this micro Zoonotic virus showed us how fragile we are and just put us clearly down the pyramid. Pathogens can escape easily from any isolated places. Wet markets and BioSafetyLevel  labs especially level 4 should not be in close proximity - An article written few years ago to read - in Nature. Virus Pathogens don't have any borders or restrictions and they are waiting for favorable conditions to pry upon the victims in this travel extensive era.  One small mishap has already caused more than 50000 deaths already as of beginning of April 2020. It is really sad. Pollution, Global transport of Pollutants through air, deforestation, species extinction and climate change does not help either in controlling the pathogens. These conditions make it more favorable for the virus to spread fast especially against already weak, fragile immunosuppressed humans. These pathogens are becoming  more and more novel and resistant to treatments which makes even harder.

A humble request from a fellow Scientist  to Scientists (wherever you are) out there to be very cautious with your research and make your research useful for all Earth Inhabitants instead of being destructive. History has matured even the greatest scientist to feel and Quote:

"Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value". Please follow this wisdom.


To young scientists out there, you will make enough money to survive for sure after all, you sacrificed and worked hard to become a scientist, so never fall for greed. please focus your research, whatever it be may, to benefit our great planet and its inhabitants.  You may face lots of hurdles, but follow the ethics in research, you will be valued for what value you put in and be appreciated for what you did for the welfare of humankind and other co-inhabitants of our beautiful EARTH - A ( my journey as a scientist ) path to satisfaction. 

Various treatment options are being explored and I am sure we human race will find out the solution, but we have already paid a big price for that. It also wise to be ready to prevent these emerging infectious diseases.  Extreme caution should be taken when new projects are implemented, instead of exploring wildly and facing adverse extremities without any time. Humans were caught off-guard by this pandemic despite of warning from few experts.

Praying for every human in the World right now. Stay home for the safety and pray for everyone who must work in front line during this very sad period of our time in this Earth. Also pray that everyone in the World - our fellow humans should get meals to eat and the basic necessities to survive.

I follow Dr. Bob Rich in QUORA, since most of his answers align with my environmental interest (My QUORA). From that link I read one of his post in his BOBBING AROUND - How to change the world.

SANDHILLCRANES

Recent news on Sandhill Cranes - 

Alabama almost lost its sandhill cranes. Now, hunters again will target the 'sirloin of the sky.' 

made me to think of the Sandhill Crane families we regularly watch in our neighborhood in Florida.

These beautiful big cranes with always a young one or two are wonderful sight to anyone. The whole family walks together and all of the family feed together in the area. Whenever you pass by them they act gently and the father watches if there is any threat to the young one(s) and finds if it is not they enjoy their food again. 

Such a harmless quiet big birds. It is always fun to watch them even if you are not keen bird watcher because the enormous size of the birds.
