Lakes are very important water bodies which are important part of hydrological cycle. They provide water, food, recreation, act as an energy source and are very aesthetic to any area. Most of the lakes are going dry, are filled up and non strong high rise buildings are being build in them. Lakes stabilize flooding and when they are gone, heavy damage is done to the area. So during this lake appreciation month, let us appreciate our lakes and protect them.  A BEAUTIFUL LAKE ENVIRONMENT Always I am into every Environmental Research opportunity  I get and jump into positive environmental activities.  It is great to see our paper related to lake research was published during the   Lake Appreciation Month - July, 2014. It is very hard to comprehend that 30 whales had been hunted this year, especially if you follow and practice eco-justice. Over the years I have been successful with help of my team, in creating eco-friendly land systems, sustainable agricultural lands and eco-friendly backyards. Wonderful to see - Birds sharing food  We feel ultimate happiness when we see a small bird feeding from our backyard and hence it is very hard to read that whales, tigers, rhinos and other wild animals are hunted just for the wrong reasons. Alcohol is the number one killer Internationally - WHO report. It is sad. It is even more sad when governments are sponsoring it. Recently I read an article that there were lot more young widows in India because of death of their husbands who were provided with more alcohol during this election. It is really sad to see young children growing without their fathers. It puts the family into below poverty levels and society becomes spoiled. When WHO warns, then it is something to be taken very seriously. The number went high because there are more drinkers now in India  and China.  Alcohol is evil - Alcohol is so dangerous and it can cause high level damage to individual. family and whole society. I have seen young people bolstering and taking pride in drinking alcohol. It is completely wrong. Alcohol will damage so many organs in your body and lead to an early death. The Birds’ Spot                   I survey the quaint, calm landscape of my backyard, With my eyes shining full of jubilance. I stop and look at a cozy area,  somehow more intriguing than the rest.
